    • John Lingen Seager was born on 08 Feb 1847 at Stevenage, son of the Revd John Osborne Seager. He attended Rugby School and was admitted to Trinity as a pensioner on 13 Dec 1865. He graduated BA 1871 and MA 1875. He was a member of the boat club and coxed the eight which won the King's Lynn Challenge Cup in Sep 1867. After leaving Trinity he was curate of Stevenage 1875-79, Great Wymondley 1879-91, vicar of Little Wymondley 1891-96 and Rector of Whitchurch in Herefordshire 1897-99. He died 18 Feb 1899.
