Esplanade Hotel, Paignton

Notes: In 1894 the Esplanade was described as one of the 2 principal hotels in Paignton.
At some stage after the Wands' divorce in 1903 it was sold to the Wright family.
In 2012 the Esplanade was still standing, though without its central tower and trading as The Inn on the Green - a large Marstons public house and restaurant, plus self-catering apartments.
There is no known connection with the (Bay) Esplanade Hotel, at the south end of Esplanade Rd on the corner with Sands Rd.
