This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary Ann Tatham widow of John Tatham late of Craven Street Strand Gentleman I hereby desire that I may be buried at the place at which I may be residing at the time of my decease but not in a lead coffin and also that there be as little expense as possible incurred in and about my funeral And it is my Will and I hereby direct that in case I should be abroad at the time of my decease and Miss Sophia Draper should be with me then that she may immediately after my decease be supplied with all necessary monies as well as for the payment of such debts as I may have incurred abroad as of her own expenses for one month after my decease It is my will and I give and bequeath the sum of fifty pounds to the said Sophia Draper to be paid to her immediately after my decease for her own absolute use and disposition in addition to any monies which may be payable to her for such expenses as aforesaid I also give and bequeath unto the said Sophia Draper the sum of five hundred pounds for her own absolute use and disposal in addition to the aforesaid bequests I give my two chairs and my bed unto to my son Montagu absolutely And as to all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Property Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever I give devise and bequeath the same unto my Children Montague John Tatham Laura Rees and Rosa Tatham their heirs executors administrators and assigns equally to be divided between them share and share alike as tenants in common and not as joint tenants I nominate and appoint Christopher Porter of New Square Lincolns Inn in the County of Middlesex Gentleman sole Executor of this my Will so far as regards all my Property Estate and Effects situate and being in England and Wales but not as regards my Property Estate and Effects situate and being out of England or Wales And I direct that the said Christopher Porter be paid for all business done by him as a Solicitor Attorney for or in respect of the carrying into effect of this my Will in the same manner in every respect as if he had not been appointed the Executor of this my Will In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twenty seventh day of April one thousand eight hundred and forty seven Mary Ann Tatham -- Signed and acknowledged by the above named Mary Ann Tatham as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses H. L. Banks A. H. Kirkman Clerks in Messrs Tatham and Procter. Proved at London the 18th Oct 1850 before the Worshipful Thomas Spurls Doctor of Laws Surrogate by the Oath of Christopher Porter Esq the sole Executor to whom Admon was granted having been first sworn duly to administer.
