[Notes at bottom left]
Memorandum. In Doomsday Book the name is
Tatham (4 manors). Rudd was the Maiden Name of
my respected Father's Grandmother who married Wm Raisbeck and had 2
sons and one daughter. James, Thomas, Alice - married to William Tatham.
James married and had 3 children. 1 married to Mr Sheen - Newcastle.
1 [married to] Mr Bone, [of Newcastle].
Mrs. B. when? a widow retired to Stockton.
Thomas married Miss Stapylton, sister to Sir Thomas Stapylton Bart.
Mrs William Tatham and Miss Whitmore the elder were 1st cousins and 2nd cousins to the
late Sir M P Arden afterwards Lord Alvanley.
Whitaker History of Yorkshire says Tatham Church in Lancashire is the only Saxon one in
England with a pure Saxon porch. Tatham [manor?|near?] [duly?|Irby?] was in possession
of a family of Tathams about 400 years.
* [footnote to ref above]
Mrs Carlisle thought there was a connexion between the two
families

Author:
document is initialled [T|J]. [K|R|M|B]. T. and dated 1832.
author says his/her father was the grandson of Esther Rudd & William Raisbeck
the only persons seeming to fit are:
- Henry Tatham b. 31 Dec 1770 d. 14 Jun 1835
- Charles Heathcote Tatham b. 08 Feb 1772 d. 10 Apr 1842
- Thomas Trevor Tatham b. 28 Mar 1779 d. 10 Feb 1866
- John Tatham b. 07 Aug 1780 d. 16 Mar 1839
- Joseph Tatham b. 08 Feb 1771 d. 02 Apr 1850
- Thomas Tatham b. 15 Aug 1772, d. unknown
- William Henry Tatham b. 13 Apr 1776 d. 29 Nov 1858
- John Kinder Tatham b. 26 Sep 1783 d. 31 May 1839

Curtis refers to the chart as "a charted pedigree given in 1812 to George Christopher
by the Rev. Ralph Tatham, Vicar of Bishopton, and copied in 1882 [for 1832?]
by John Kinder Tatham".

this account raises several difficulties, not least that Rev. Ralph Tatham's father (Dr. Ralph)
was *not* the grandson of Esther Rudd & William Raisbeck

so the least unlikely candidate for the author is John Kinder Tatham
