  Notes	Coney family. The details shown on this site are partly speculative. The starting point was a single sentence in Ralph Heathcote Tatham's 1984 book on the Tatham family in New Zealand: Of these children [of Rev. Edwin Wheeler & Georgiana Tatham] one was Samuel and another was Rosa who married an Auckland man named Coney. Philip Coney was my age; it is probable that Rosa was a generation later but definitely [not?] a direct descendant of Samuel. I know he was single and had no descendants. He lived at Woodville and died in 1916. Because so little genealogical information for New Zealand is available online, the family details have had to be based largely on electoral registers. Any further information, corrections or clarifications will be most welcome.
