Douglas, officiated yesterday at the marriage, at Duffield Parish Church, of Captain Leslie Crawley-Boevey, the Yorkshire Regiment, younger son of the late Sir. James Henry Crawley-Boevey (eighth son of Sir Martin Hyde Crawley-Boevoy, fourth baronet, of Flaxley Abbey, Gloucester), and of Mrs. Crawley-Boovey, to Miss Janet Marjorie Middleditch, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Middleditch, of Tamworth House, Duffield. Mr. Middleditch gave away his daughter, and Mr. Seton Middleditch was best man.
      The bride wore a white charmeuse gown, with a train of Limerick lace (the gift of the bridegroom) over silver tissue, and a diamond butterfly brooch which had belonged to her great-great-grandmother. She carried a sheaf of Harrissii lilies. There were three bridesmaids - Miss Stella and Miss Georgina Middleditch (sisters of the bride), and Daphne Crawley-Boevey (niece of the bridegroom), The two little girls wore pink satin slips, with white frilled net over-dresses, and wreaths of silver leaves and pink rosebuds in their hair. The elder bridesmaid wore a dress of pink satin beauté with silver
      embroidery, and a black lace hat. They all carried shower bouquets of pink carnations and white heather, and wore blue enamel pendants, the gift of the bridegroom. [The Times]
