    • The marriage took place at at Michael's, Mickleham, Surrey, on Saturday, of Mr. Alfred Alexander Gordon Clark, barrister-at-law, third son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Clark, of Moorhurst, Holmwood, and Mickleham Hall, and Miss Mary Barbara Lawrence, eldest daughter of Sir William and Lady Lawrence, of Burford, Dorking. The Rev. A. W. Bedford officiated, assisted by the Rev. G. L. Cole. The music included Passacaglia, specially composed by Dr. Vaughan Williams and played by Mr. Arnold Goldsborough, organist of St. Martin-in-the-Fields.
      The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of deep ivory satin, with a train of pale pink net, bordered with silver lamé, and draped with Honiton lace. Her veil of pink net was held in place by a band of orange-blossom, and she carried a bouquet of pink roses. Her train was carried by Miss Jocelyn Gordon Clark (niece of the bridegroom), who wore a dress of white georgette and a wreath of stephanotis and myrtle. The bride was attended by six bridesmaids -- Miss Anne and Miss Naomi Lawrence (sisters of the bride), Miss Blair-Imrie, Miss Elizabeth Rottenburg, Miss Honor Baker, and Miss Rosemary Hewett. They wore dresses of white georgette over pink satin and wreaths of stephanotis and myrtle in their hair and carried bouquets to match. Mr. J. C. D. Harington was best man, and a guard of honour was formed by the V.A.D. Surrey 68.
      A reception was held by Lady Lawrence at Burford, and among those present were:--
