    • Brother John Agar MacCarthy was also a cleric and for a time a missionary in Peshawar and Afghanistan. His daughter Lizzie Martin MacCarthy was born in Afghanistan and after growing up in the UK married Robert Kohlhoff Clark (born in India to missionary parents) in Sri Lanka. Their daughter, Kathleen was born in Sri Lanka and married Geoffrey Binns there as well. Her daughter Prudence Binns was also born and married in Sri Lanka to Patrick Tremenheere (British but born in Malaya).
