    Notes 
    • In 1857 Wallasey Church was destroyed by fire, which burned through the tower floors and the bell frame, and the bells crashed to the ground. The churchwardens accounts and the parish registers were saved from the fire by the Reverend Frederick Haggit at the risk of his life. [The Ringing World, issue 3997 p1055 4 Dec 1987]
