    Notes
    • Mary Tatham (6 Jan 1922 - 22 July 2008), was George Tatham's sister. She was a nurse during WW2 and after the war went to London to do a course in 'Beauty Culture'. She later married Dudley Pringle, a Natal North Coast sugar cane farmer in 1957 and after he died in 1971, she ran the sugar farm for 14 years. She was a most amazing, strong, vivacious lady, someone who made a lasting impression. Her father was George Edmund Tatham and her mother was Marie-Leone Nols from Verviers, Belgium. [1]
    • Was given a brooch by her friend Vivien Thurburn Barry, wife of her distant cousin Cecil Francis Tatham (4x cousin, 1x rem). Vivien had been been bequeathed the brooch by her sister-in-law Helen Bertha Tatham, but wanted Mary to have it as Helen was so very devoted to Mary's father, George Edmund Tatham.
