    • Rugby: Importé d'Angleterre en 1872 par un négociateur de café nommé Langstaff, le rugby fait ses premières passes au Havre, dans la même foulée que le football, sous les toutes nouvelles couleurs du HAC. Aujourd'hui, le club joue en Fédérale 3 et fait confiance à sa jeune bleusaille Ciel et Marine pour marquer les essais et les esprits. [Le Havre archives website]
    • Une importante maison de transit (Langstaff, Ehremberg et Pollack), agent au Havre de la South Western Railway qui exploitait la ligne maritime de Southampton. Les bureaux de Langstaff étaient sur le Grand Quai, comme il s'appelait alors, près de la Douane, en face la tente du bateau de Southampton. Ces bureaux, comme toutes les maisons du quai, furent détruits durant la dernière guerre. [HAC website]
