    • The marriage took place yesterday, at St. Peter's, Eaton-square, of Captain J. W. Lawrence Fry. only son of Major-General Fry, C.B., C.V.O., Governor of the Isle of Man, and of Mrs. Fry, to Bettine, younger twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Percival Hardy, of 24 Chester-street, S.W. The officiating clergy were Canon Edgar Sheppard, K.C.V.O., Sub-Dean of the Chapels Royal, assisted by the Rev. H. R. L. Sheppard, vicar of St.Martin-in-the-Fields, and the Rev. Austin Thompson, vicar of St. Peter's, Eaton-square. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of ivory velvet, and a Court train of tulle. The bridesmaids - the Hon. Patience Kemp, Miss Myrtle Staniland, and Miss Helen Moir - wore flame-coloured tulle dresses with dull gold net veils, and carried sheaves of autumn leaves. The bridegroom was attended by Major Harrington, D.S.O., as best man. Among the invited guests were:- The Dowager Countess of Ellesmere, Lieutenant-General Sir Henry Lawson, K.C.B., and Lady Wilma Lawson, the Earl of Lathom, Lord and Lady Rochdale, Lady Goldie-Taubman, Mr. L.
