I was taken in by Dr Thursfield, who was nice, I thought, and a sort of connection, as he is a second cousin of the George Tathams, and related both to the Blocks and the Pardoes.
George Pardoe officiated at the wedding of his 1st cousin Elizabeth Susan Block ("Betha") to George Edmund Tatham at St Michael, Highgate, on 13 Oct 1857. He was then curate at St John the Baptist, Wolverton, nr Kidderminster. In 1864 he was appointed Vicar of Alkham, nr Dover.
That year Rev. George Edmund Tatham officiated at the wedding of Rev. George Pardoe, Vicar of Alkham, to Octavia Moxon, at Ryburgh (where he was Rector) on 05 Dec 1864.
