    Notes
    • Lawrence Tatham was baptized 09 Jul 1741 at Stockton Parish Church. He was apprenticed 23 Oct 1755 to Joseph Kinder, of London, Merchant Tailor, the fee being 12 12s. Some of his children's names doubtless originated from this association. In 1784 he is described as of the firm of Crew & Tatham, Hosiers, 4, Fell Street, Wood Street, London; in 1790 as Lawrence Tatham, Wholesale Hosier, 4 Fell Street, Wood Street; and he is so described in 1799 and 1808. In 1822, he is described as Merchant, 5 Hart Street, Cripplegate. He died 01 Dec 1830, aged 89. The memorial tablet in St. Alphage Church, London Wall, mentioned hereafter states that he and his wife were inhabitants of that parish for many years. [Curtis]
