Born on 10 June, 1860, he was the second son of John Pilkington Norris, Archdeacon and Canon of Bristol. His mother was Grace, youngest daughter of the Right. Hon. Stephen Lushington. He was educated at Charterhouse, and at Trinity College, Cambridge. In 1886 he married Nina Catherine, daughter of Canon Edward Sturges, and had a son and a daughter. [The Times, obituary] [13]
