    • Ryburgh. Musical Society. On Wednesday evening in last week a very successful entertainment was given by the Musical Society of this parish, assisted by several friends in the neighbourhood. .. The entertainment was opened by sundry instrumental pieces taken from "The Golden Sheaf" cantata, the performers being -- pianoforte, ... ; first violins, Miss A. Tatham and ... ; ... ; double bass, Mr. E. Tatham. The whole was very creditably performed indeed. The above was followed by the whole work, the "Golden Sheaf" being given by the society, accompanied throughout in a very able manner by Miss A. Tatham (violin). ... A pianoforte duet came next, by ... and Miss E. Tatham,, the youngest daughter of the Rev. G. E. Tatham, aged only seven, which was greatly admired and applauded. ... A solo on the violin by Miss A. Tatham was really a most delightful treat, and the manner in which it was executed and encored gives promise of better things hereafter. [People's Weekly Journal, 12 May 1883]
